Mike Bow-Wow-Ski Here: If you have been living in a cave, it is with Great sadness that I inform you that Leonard Nimoy passed away last month. He was an iconic actor who played the part of Spock, as a half human and half Vulcan person on Star Trek. Spock was the second in command of the Starship Enterprise. The Starship was captained by James Kirk, who managed to fall in love with female life forms and species on most encounters in space. But Spock was usually above such emotional nonsense, as he was logical with an occasional hint of emotion. He brought logic to the Hollywood community, which sometimes knows no logic. I know you are probably surprised that a canine such as myself watched Star Trek, as many of my canine pals cannot see TV or chose to ignore it. Only my cousin Lucy and I seem to be able to comprehend T,V but she just barks when there are dog actors on the screen, so I am not sure how much she gets.
Star Trek ran for only three years and yet it has had an amazing impact on human culture. Human culture does affect canine culture because it intersects human culture at many levels. I was particularly fond of Spock. The only actor that may have done a better job is Peter Mayhew, who played Chewbacca on Star Wars. I was sorely disappointed in the Hollywood community who never nominated him for Best Actor. I think PETA needs to look into this discrimination issue.
